for violin and piano
SUITE for violin and piano was composed in 1988.
Originally a Suite existed from a series of dances.
In this work I present the Suite as a series of 6 components, composed in a free form.
It are 6 contrasting movements, all based on the same basic material and they make one whole.
They evolve from very dreamy and unreal moments (parts I-III-IV), over driving and obsessive rhythms (part II), to impassioned dynamics in the melody (part VI) and a bit of humour (part IV).
These are the 6 parts : Prelude - Furioso - Interlude (Misterioso)
Scherzo - Lamento - Allegro Molto
