for baritone or mezzo-soprano and 2 percussion players
This work was commissioned by Muziektheater Transparant in 1998, a musical score for a film by Remco Van Damme and Allel el Berkani.
Wim Henderickx premiered the work as one of the percussionists. It was a combination of film, live music and theatre.
The song ‘Con che soavità’ from the 7th Book of Madrigals by Claudio Monteverdi served as a source of inspiration for this work.
A big part of the material, as well melodically, harmonically as rhythmically, is based on this music.
