ALLA TURCA for percussion trio was composed in 2006. It is an adaptation of the percussion fragments from the opera EEN TOTALE ENTFÜHRUNG, which was composed in 2005-06.
5 parts with each its own identity and instrumentation were inspired on the rhythmical and metrical structures of the Arabic and particularly the Turkish music.
The instrumentation consists of three derbukas, two riqs (Turkish tambourine) and a bendir (Arab hand drum).
