More info about the release later! *Debute CD by the young woodwinds of HOUTHANDEL ANTWERPEN with IO and CIRCUS SUITE of Wim Henderickx. www.houthandelantwerpen.com  CD Kicking Sawdust by Houthandel Antwerpen*MUDRA, the seventh and last part in the TANTRIC CYCLE was created in May 2010 at Muziekgebouw aan't IJ in Amsterdam with the NIEUW ENSEMBLE and Ed Spanjaard as conductor and will also be performed at deSingel in Antwerp on March 18th, 2011. *In May 2010 Wim Henderickx talked about his works and conducted DISAPPEARING IN LIGHT (fifth work in the TANTRIC CYCLE) with HERMESensemble. This lecture performance fitted in the opening of the new museum MAS in Antwerp. www.vooruitmas.be *Wim Henderickx conducted a concert with his own works in commission of EUTERPE and HAPPY NEW FESTIVAL in Kortrijk in April 2010. DISAPPEARING IN LIGHT, DAWN and IN DEEP SILENCE III were performed by HERMESensemble, Els Mondelaers as mezzo-soprano and vocal ensemble VOX. The Flemish radio KLARA made a recording of the concert. *In November 2009 a portrait of Wim Henderickx was broadcasted on Belgian TV, on CANVAS. During a period of six months Wim has been filmed during rehearsals and concerts of TEJAS - CONFRONTATIONS - DISAPPEARING IN LIGHT and at his studio in Antwerp. Also other works such as his most recent opera VOID/SUNYATA were shown in this unique transmission. Wim Henderickx talked about his sources of inspiration, his musical drives and his work with young composers. Fragment on YouTube: LINK *In November 2009 Wim Henderickx composed a work for the Art for Life-action of the Flemish radio KLARA. The work GISHORA was written for trumpet and 7 African drums. Wim Henderickx dedicated the compositon to the highest bidder. The proceeds of this sale by auction were used for the battle against malaria in Burundi. *Wim Henderickx was in Burkina Faso with GERT FRANçOIS to study and perform CONFRONTATIONS with African masterdrummer Adama Dramé and his team of percussionists. The CD CONFRONTATIONS is available at the World Culture Centre Zuiderspershuis, Antwerp *The music theatre production OLEK SHOT A BEAR toured Belgium and the Netherlands in the version with I Solisti del Vento and Theatre Taptoe in 2009-2010. *In 2008 youngsters from schools in Sachsen-Anhalt worked out a wonderful project with this composition (German version).  www.queridokind.nl

On the semi-finals in May 2008 CANZONE was the compulsory work.
